Krzychukoko's ban appeal 2.

Post by krzychukoko »

BYOND Name:Krzychukoko

Reason Banned: "Decided to lock the CE in the emergency shuttle cockpit despite the CE doing nothing wrong. Disconnected before questioning. PLEASE APPEAL THIS BAN ON THE FORUMS TO EXPLAIN YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY. Round ID 10330."

Admin who banned: "This ban was applied by cebutris on 2017-11-16 17:41:05."

Length Banned: unknown

Appeal Reason:

1. "Disconnected before questioning" <- what kind of offense is that? i did normally leave the game AFTER shuttle docked at centcom{not even right away} and i did not receive any admin PM message before that therefore there was no reason for me to stay. Nevermind this i thought it was listed as some kind of offense.
2. I did not lock CE in the cockpit - the intention was to ensure nobody from regular crew breaks inside the cockpit(as usually it quickly got quite rowdy in the primary compartment), and as a matter of fact i specifically risked some rioter getting in by waiting for CE to get in because i didn't want to lock any senior staff OUTSIDE the shuttle bridge. I'd also like to point out that when i refused to unlock the door(accompanied by acting HoS's approval}CE took out a FIREAXE and proceeded to attack me and acting HoS. HoS even tried to avoid having to kill him by using stun setting on eguns(pointing that out in case the player who played acting HoS in that round received some false accusations too)but i think in the end it was necessary to terminate CE due to his insane behavior. Also securing shuttle bridge from the rest of the shuttle is NOT any specifically malicious action especially when there's some fighting going on in the main compartment - therefore i had sufficient reason to lock bridge out considering my optional objective: protecting Ian. Obviously if any kind of crew other than senior-staff were to enter bridge it would be very likely they would try to kill Ian just for the memes. On the other hand CE's behaiour was unexplained - he had no reason to leave the bridge and he was in no danger(until he tried to kill me and acting HoS with fireaxe...). I'd also like to point out the obvious fact that he was the CE - and as such it would have been very easy for him to just simply unbolt the doors himself rather than try to kill me with fireaxe for whatever purpose that would serve.
3.Finally i'd like to take this chance to request that the player who was playing as CE that round be punished accordingly for his unjustified murder attempt before roundend.

1. It's NOT an offence, it's a description of what happened, and why you were banned. I had been questioning all the relevant heads of staff that round but when everyone pointed to you, you weren't there to answer anything, so I applied the ban hoping that in future you would be able to explain your side of the story, which is why "PLEASE APPEAL THIS BAN ON THE FORUMS TO EXPLAIN YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY" was tacked on the end of the ban reason, along with the round ID to make it easier to find relevant information when you DID make an appeal.

2. Right, from my perspective, here's what happened- I get an ahelp from the CE saying that the HoS is keeping him in the shuttle bridge. I ask the HoS why, he says he was following the Captain's orders, I ask the Captain why, he said he didn't order that, but the HoP (you) did. I ask the HoS to confirm this and he does, he was mistaken. I go to ask you what happened... and you were gone. You can see how this paints you in a bad light, yes? Anyways, your reasoning is sound enough, but do keep in mind that you can't just keep people in the bridge of the shuttle against their will, and ALSO keep in mind that performing antagonistic actions in pursuit of your optional objective (the one to protect ian, in this case) is not okay. I'm not saying that you did it in this instance, but I thought I might as well mention it here and save a headache later

3. It's way too late to start a new ticket about this. Maybe next time stick around post-round and send us an ahelp or something.

Appeal Approved.
