BYOND account and character name: ForrestWick / Forrest Greene
Noting admin: SectoidDan
Note type/duration: Unsure what severity level it was set to
Note reason: Killed a lawyer for basically no reason while rampaging as traitor. The lawyer offered no resistance, was not one of their objectives, and had no gear.
Your side of the story: I got roundstart traitor with two kill objectives. Sachi and I met up in dorms and started to form a bit of a plan to help each other, then decided since there's no security we should just raid the armory to make our lives easier. So we do so, the AI tries to lock us in, then the HOP runs in to try and kill us but backs off when we fight back.
Eventually, Sachi and I get into the halls and are confronted by roughly 4-5 people who immediately rush us, two of which having weapons out. I proceed to open fire on them because do you really expect me to roll over for a valid hunter. Right after I took down the people trying to valid us, a lawyer runs out of their office with a briefcase in hand (which mind you briefcase to the head does stupidly high damage). In my moment of adrenaline and panic from having to gun down a bunch of people not even 10 seconds ago, I assumed the lawyer was also gonna try to valid us and proceeded to kill them too.
All corpses were purposely left in the open, not hidden anywhere, and no attempts were made to hide them.
Why you think the note should be appealed: several reasons.
Firstly, the rules for antags as they are at the time of writing this state that murderbone won't typically be dealt with OOC unless it becomes a severe issue, usually spanning multiple rounds. This was a single round, the first time in months where I went on an actual deadly rampage as a traitor and only because people tried to rush me in the hall outside sec while I was armed to the teeth.
Second, heat of the moment. The lawyer didnt rush out before I had a chance to collect my nerves. She rushed out IMMEDIATELY after I had gunned down a bunch of people and seemingly had no intention of turning the other way, so I acted as if they were about to kill me.
Third, just last week, a Chief Engineer was given traitor status with only one objective, to survive and escape on the shuttle. They then proceeded to release a singuloose that tore the station in half and jumped into the singuloose, killing themselves on purpose. When I ahelped it I was told by Justin "its murderbone, but its valid". I'd like to know the absolute fucking logic of how that is valid and yet I get noted for killing a lawyer and not hiding their body in any way shape or form.
Fourth, murderbone in the rules is defined as actively seeking out people to kill on top of just killing for the sake of it. Neither of those bits are related to the incident. And if Shah wasn't noting me for murder bone (which I remember they said they were), then what were they noting me for? Killing someone in the heat of the moment AS A TRAITOR? Is that just not allowed suddenly? There is no logic to any of it and it makes me feel like I was given the note just for the sake of it.

Re: (SectoidDan) ForrestWick - Note Appeal (murderbone)
As discussed in Discord, this note is basically irrelevant and not worth keeping on the record. My bad for being overzealous.
