also we've got a mentor system up now so if you're nsure of smth, run it by a mentor and they'll take it up to the mins if they deem it above themselves.
as for the actions described... yeah, willfully busting the engine, even if you intended to fix it, isn't really cool here. it punishes everyone for the actions of a few, and to the innocent, it's basically grief

RE: Job Ban Appeal, Engineering department
You're right. It was griefing. Crime of passion caused by stupid rules shoehorned into extended rounds. People vote extended to relax and get a break from the usual idiocy that secret can bring. So then the AI shows up with a super gimmicky rule two rounds in a row that devolve the game into basically secret. One of them targeted me pretty heavily. So I did something. I get that it was wrong. I'm acknowledging my mistake. If the team is willing to permanently ban one of the so far from what I've seen few people who are happy, willing and able to do engineering and atmos work over one mistake in a round that was very close to a grief fest, then that's cool. I figured I'd tell my side and apologize and let you all figure it out.

Poojawa banned you, dude. I highlighted this at the time of the ban. I even outlined that engine grief is a no-no bad thing don't do it in admin pms right before he banned you.
You never expressed a desire to 'fix' the sabotaged engine, as a matter of fact, you said that you started a further plasma fire to cement the damage and prevent anyone from fixing it, so please don't fibberino to the adminerinos.
I was willing to give you a pass, but engine grief is a really non-kosher thing because it puts the whole round in a 'save or suck' situation. I understand you were venting some frustration due to being cooped up in the gulag for a while, but I'm sure there was some restraint involved, as most people who intentionally do that kind of thing end up with server bans. It doesn't help that you lit the plasma fire directly when the shuttle arrived, brutally invalidating your excuse that you were trying to force a shuttle call.
Further, I really don't enjoy the fact of you deciding that my mini-event was the fault of you, with your completely sentient brain, starting a plasma fire. Nobody was forced to participate. The laws/rules were very outlandish to the point you could have just not sworn and never gotten arrested; it wasn't a hard act to follow. If people want to relax/do their job/erp, I hardly see how "NO SWEARING" prevents that. I have been recently intentionally designing my events to be easy to avoid and this one was no exception. You could say the vegan round subsequent to this one was as little harder to avoid, but people made it their issue INTENTIONALLY. There is always the option of backing down and not striking up the issue to the point it gets you in trouble. You are responsible for your own actions. You were not 'targeted.'
People who swore got involved in the event. It's as simple as that. There was advertisements all over the server, from the AI saying "NO SWEARING GUYS" to the station screens that say "DON'T SWEAR" to the arrivals computer that sid REMEMBER: NO SWEARING. At a 100 point labor charge, it was, for one, very easy, and, for two, expected that people would get upset. I encouraged the revolt and gave people the tools to start it. And you ignored it and stood idly by for reasons unbeknownst to me.
After you were freed from the gulag, because I gave you a radio, you showed no intent of being hostile or rioting or any of that. Instead you sabotaged the engine nearly a full hour later for what I'd consider a jape.
You were also startlingly passive-aggressive during the following round saying "WHOEVER MADE THIS LAW IS A BRAINLET" and a flurry of positively childish insults over common band, so you've got no gold stars from me for 'coping well' with the punishment or even so far as understanding what you've done as wrong. I typically appreciate it when people examine their punishments and say 'oh wow this is what I did wrong' and not only acknowledge what they did is wrong, but don't scapegoat admins for something that they themselves have done. Saying "I acknolwedge my mistake" means absolutely nothing when you're STILL talking shit about the admin team and accusing us of unfairly punishing you. Yeah, people who were imprisoned were given a light pass to bust themselves out of the gulag and the tools to stage a riot. Nobody else decided to sabotage the station like you did.
It is for that reason I leave my mark of -Support.

RE: Job Ban Appeal, Engineering department
I intended to fix it until the AI ignored every command persons orders to recall the shuttle, and it got there. So clearly it didn't need fixing anymore. I figured that was self explanatory, but thanks for your input on that matter. In the interest of saying the fair truth, no one else sabotaged the engine. Plenty were sabotaging the statiom by damaging the power grid. Apparently the server isn't as round based IC focused as I thought, cus the next rounds IC actions in again another gimmick station is having an effect on this. Which is good to know, now. Sorry for putting it on you then. Being you're the one who reached out I assumed it was you, cus that would make sense that the person giving the punishment should actually be the one talking to the person taking it. I'll edit my post.
