BYOND Name: Swirlby
Reason Banned: Round 16815, non-antag, planned to set off a BoH bomb in the bar before the shuttle arrived, and then disconnected immediately after.
Admin who banned: IzzyInBox
Length banned: Permanant
Appeal Reason: I am very new to this game, and I wasn't aware of the properties of the BoH bomb. The round was almost over, and the shuttle was to arrive in one minute, and I thought I would have time to run from the bomb before it detonated. I thought it would be fine, seeing as how the round was almost over anyway. After I detonated the bomb, I realized my mistake. I also realize that if I really wanted to detonate the bomb as a non-Antag, I should have waited until the shuttle reached central command and the round to be officially over. If this ban appeal is approved, I'll be more careful with these things in the future.

Re: Main - Perma Ban Appeal for Setting off a BoH Bomb as a non-Antag
Thank you the explanation. In the future, remember that a classic pattern for griefers is to connect for a bit, then set off a BoH bomb in a public place and instantly disconnect. We got that red flag here, and that's why the ban was applied.
This ban should be lifted now, but if a mistake like this happens, it's best to stick around and ahelp letting us know it was an accident rather than disconnecting. And indeed, wait until the end of the round to test out any destructive ideas, instead of while the round is still going. The bag of holding trick should have given you a very clear popup of the potential danger.
