Moderation application for Main server

Reason for application: I've been here since January and I've come to enjoy the server very much. My only notes are in regard to stuff done when I was new and I have no bans on either Main or RP. I hope to improve player/Staff interaction by helping clear the air on controversial issues and ensuring everyone enjoys their time here to the best of my ability. 

1. How would you engage with two players having an out of character altercation?


I would initiate conversations with both sides to get their views on the issue then invite them to a private DM between them while I acted as a mediator for their issue if such a  thing would help them.

2. What should an admin do if they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention?

A Admin should ask a fellow staff member online to help solve the issue, as they are engaged with the situation and need to stay impartial. If none are online and inquiries to the Discord fail then they may begin dealing with it, on the grounds that any action taken will be reviewed if no other admin comes online in the meantime.

3. How should an admin determine in what way to punish someone who breaks the rules?

A Admin should if possible assemble a conclave of their fellow staff to discuss the issue and provide relevant logs and such to ensure a any ruling is correct. In situations where that is not possible, it falls upon them to make a ruling, taking into account the severity of the rule break, any prior history of similar incidents and the persons behaviour in Admin PMs.

4. Under what conditions should an admin de-admin themselves while playing?

A Admin should De-admin themselves if they are playing a role which is important to the station like a Head role or when they are playing as a antag to ensure that no conflict of interests should occur. This is reliant on their being another staff member online who can handle Ahelps related to the first staff member. If such a thing is not possible, then they should stay as a admin unless they are ahelped about themselves or a issue they are involved in, in which case another staff member should be asked to come online to arbitrate.

5. What is expected of an admin on Citadel?

Conduct befitting a Staff member on a server with such a wide and varied amount of Erotica and such. Being able to understand their limits and that stressing themselves excessively over a voluntary job is a bad thing that they can look for support about.
Enforcement of the rules that govern Citadel, with regard that the rules can be subjective at times and that other interpretations do exist and to be aware of such.

I'm concerned about your ability to handle yourself under stress. From what I've seen you tend to take comments that don't entirely reference you in any particular way and make them about you. I'm hesitant, but willing to give you a +1.

I understand where you are coming from and that's part of the reason I made the app, to work more closely with the staff team and try and understand the pressures they are under and why they take the actions that they do.

I'm trying to improve my attitude and what better way than to have responsibility and step up to the plate so to speak.
