Permabrig was absolutely dickish knowing the circumstance. Im assuming, that cash explained the situation wherin he attempted to arrest Midnight and they responded in self defense.

Reactionary self defense is the key word. Its a blue shift, he was shot, he reacted with a tool at his disposal to preserve his own life. It wasnt done with the intent to murder in cold blood, and he was cooperative thereafter.

Aiding and abbetting a traitor is bullshit as well, in the case of Midnight not knowing the clown was a traitor. They did not know. They shouldnt be punished for ignorance.

Even though the rule on space law and its application says 'suggestion', Im interpreting it as being you deal with things case by case, the context is key. Not that sec can completely forego space law to be THE LAW as they godamn please.

I have not seen a /single/ shift wherein Sydney does not perform security like this.
Nothing about this screams traitor, attempted murder, anything.

Cash radar, however, was justified in the wordless attempt at arrest due to the information they had on hand, but sydney's apparent choice to permabrig was insanely unjust.

This entire rant is going off of what I can see presented. If people have different stories, please, do share.

Ps: Plasma cutters fire weakened blasts when in pressurized invironments. It may have done damage, yeah, but it was far from being enough to delimb or crit anyone.

I frankly think Sydney is blatant shitsec and deserves a watchlist to make sure they dont abuse their power as sec in the future. They dont even try to be gentle, even during green status.

I'd agree with the thing about Sydney as well, they seems willing to just drone do their job, instead of care at all. I did de-limb Cash's leg with the plasma cutter, and I don't exactly approve of the silent attacking of a crew member. I can maybe get it on red/if I'm obviously hostile. But you just shoot me I react in a way to shoot back.

I'd prefer the abuse of power on this server get limited. I could name countless characters on here that sign up for a head position, then fuck around and meme the whole shift or abuse their power. I'd just like something to be done for cases like this where It's obviously not worth a permabrig. Little to no evidence, and a slap into perma for talking to a traitor over PDA about just meeting in cargo. Didn't think this would get more attention so I left the topic for a few days. 

I just hope that sec can start at least trying a peaceful route, and then not getting butthurt when a crew member retaliates their taser first way of doing their job. Not everyone is willing to roll over because you signed up for the job that gives you weapons to abuse. The QM esword meme even talked about demoting me that shift due to defending myself. Even though I had been mining the entire shift for cargo.
