Ban Appeal: Soudesuka

Post by Soudesuka »

BYOND Name: Soudesuka

Reason Banned: Toxicity carrying over rounds, metagrudging, and blatant trolling. You've been given many warnings, and even a perma appeal, but your personality hasn't changed. This ban has been agreed upon by multiple staff members. You may appeal this ban after you've taken some time to reflect on your actions.

During an IC conflict, insulting a player over griefing rounds as HoP previous rounds.

Admin who banned: kersakof

Length Banned: Permanent

Appeal Reason: Quite some time taken to reflect actions following the ban. I want to play with a handful of friends again, and I'll do my best to avoid conflict with other players, and refrain from character breaking toxic meta-commentary. I have played on /vg/, VORE, and other servers without any incident since, so I've not been keeping up bad behaviour. I think I can be a good player going into the new year and deserve another chance.

i recall you having a pretty shitty attitude, but like, bans are super easy to reapply. in my opinion, yeah sure give you another chance. if you've changed then nice. if not then this shit can just be reapplied.

Gonna have to give a solid -1

When your last appeal was accepted, it took about a month for you to get banned again for the *same exact reason* you were banned for previously. After your previous appeal, you've shown no signs of improvement at all, and your toxicity still persisted despite your OOC ban. Your current ban was agreed upon by the majority of the active staff team at the time, as you've had to receive constant warnings, and proved to be pretty troublesome for other players.

Maybe if you give it about three months or so, you'll have a better chance at a successful appeal. One month isn't a whole lot of time for a person to completely turn their behavior around, especially when they've shown no willingness to improve their behavior the last time they've been given a second chance.

The exact same reason that was overturned for having no bearing outside Poojawa's claim. Heh.

Isn't this is just about one more complaint about a bad admin who notes and bans based on grudges, improper escalation, and just poor adminship in general?
It would be dishonest not to have that in any appeal of a ban he's involved in.

I'm just gonna have to say, you have a bad history of being a shit by action and habit, and you *did* get banned for it. You appealed, were no better, got the boot again.
So here's my question.

Can the whole "third time's the charm" really work when there were no signs of improvement the second time around? Is there really a point in having a trilogy when the first two bombed this bad??

My optimism tells me that there's a chance you've pulled your head out of your ass finally. My sense of reality tells me that's a one-in-one-hundred chance and odds aren't in favor of you being that 1% success. Either really fuggin' sell it to me, or do what Cori said and wait until 3 months have passed before appealing.
It is only waffer thin.
