Reason Banned: "As a crew member turned goliath, interrupted ERP sessions in bolted dorm rooms by attacking all the locked doors "as a prank". "

Appeal Reason: Well, the round was turning into a glitchy purgatory of chaos so i thought it'd be silly to give the dorm doors a quick tap to make that "thud" noise to give anyone who cared to acknowledge (One person) a quick little scare. I didn't tear down doors or smash them beyond operational ability; i only bumped them once, so i didn't think it'd do any harm; though i didn't expect it to be a permabannable offense.

Edit: Just figured out from said admin that it's not a permaban. So there's that. Not saying i shouldn't be in trouble, but i'm kind'a poking at that "ding dong ditching" the doors shouldn't be permabannable. But thats not the case, so it's fine. You guys can pick how long it is, at the time being i am just trying to sort out why i was used as  the admin's punching bag to vent on and why a permaban was necessary. Which is now resolved.

Hey! I was in one of those dorms that you had a bash at, and as I mentioned on the discord, my writing partner and I acknowledged the event IC, though we didn't come to confront you or whatever. From inside the dorms, we could hear every other dorm get a good smack as well, but even then, I really feel like the severity here is overblown. Absolutely, technically, it's an intended, blatant, and self-aware violation of the rule regarding interrupting private scenes, but I think it's important to note:

-Earlier today, feedback was recieved about a clown spamming airhorns outside of dorms. This was considered mild at worst and expected clown behavior at "best".
-People welding into "in-use" dorms is consistently still a real problem that's been established through several responses to ahelps to be considered a minor infraction at their most severe.
-This didn't expose anyone unwillingly, was some noise griff that lasted a grand total of a few seconds, and they went out of their way to make sure it didn't damage any dorm functionality. They even roleplayed out parts of it.

It's totally up to the admins whether they'd like to take action on this or not, but whatever conclusion is reached, keep in mind that this case is going to be brought up in the future as an example, either in defense of or offense against, similar incidents. They're common. The general attitude of the admins regarding this comes across to players currently as heavily varied, and I hope that however this is treated, others doing the same thing or worse may be treated similarly, for better or for worse. You may find out you've ended up making a decision on more rule 7 bans than you intended to! c:
