RE: Moderator Complaint: Ariever
I'll just put this out here, for the record for all to see.
I'll try to flatter you better next time, but don't expect anything amazing, because I suck at flattering people.
AND YET I LOVE THE BARD CLASS IN TABLETOPS.
I feel there's a connection there, somewhere. Also, pretty sure this thread should be closed, since it got resolved and all. Time to wait a week before Kenzie gets around to it. =P

RE: Moderator Complaint: Ariever
I was in the round but I was not directly affected outside of being unable to move onto a new round where the miners weren't dead. Ended up alttabbing cause I couldn't do shit.
I'd like it if there was proof that this isn't gonna just be a slap on the wrist that ye guys forget about nearly immediately but I am aware that the server's administration format doesn't really lead to provable transparency of any kind. So I don't really have much to say besides that.

Use your judgement. I wasn't majorly affected however multiple people were not only affected, but removed from the round by the actions of the mod. On Secret. If there was a theoretical strike system with a three strikes yer out format. If I was in charge, this would be a solid, permanent, and publicly visible strike that would remain on the record and be referenced in regards to future strikes.
Once is a mistake. Twice is incompetence. Thrice is malignant. That's the format I use when managing my own communities that I GM in and administrate. It's the system I use when I GM/DM tabletop stuff locally in regards to player misconduct. It works and it's saved me a lotta grief over the years when handling medium to large communities. Publicly visible strikes in regards to misconduct with players and appointed mods/administrators/GM's results in significantly fewer issues where players perceive fuck all happening when there's an issue. Cause the strike system is visible and public and transparent to all, with reasoning behind each one clearly defined. As well as the punishment for getting three.
I however am not in charge here. You are. Therefore, you should be using your own judgement. I have stated my opinion on the matter and that is simply what it is. An opinion.

Strike system works pretty well if you have the chance to work off whatever the specific issue the strike addressed was. I believe in the admin COC for Citadel it's a 5 strike system? I'm just going off memory with that so don't take it as gospel.

gotta provide correct format and all instead of going "did x and x", otherwise we can't check logs

In relation to the original complaint, I was HoS that round and I was especially disappointed once the drake disappeared, right as I was swinging a fire axe at it.
