Reason: You, or another user of this computer or connection (thranos) is banned from playing here. The ban reason is: After a long history of poor escelation, failure to cooperate, and flagrant disregard of the intentions or well-being of other players, it's been decided to remove you from the server permenantly. Your most recent incident with Sven is a prime examle of everything you do to hard this server and its players. This ban is not appealable. This ban (BanID #4779) was applied by Leon Leonardo on 2017-02-02 20:52:20 during the round ID 0, The is a permanent ban.

Your side of the story & Why you think you should be unbanned: At the time of this ban, I had been arguing for months with several members of the staff over what I felt was a turn in the wrong direction for the server, which I had grown rather attached to, having played it since quite literally before it was Citadel (IE: The Ikkaku). In doing so, I made exactly zero friends and doubtlessly gave a number of the staff beyond even the ones I argued with plenty of reason to dislike me. I also made the mistake of letting this OOC anger slip into IC actions, often going off the handle and smacking around people I even suspected of being "problems" (IE: one of the many trolls visiting upon us because "burn the furries"), and generally just not playing the game in a way that was conducive to enjoyment by anyone. This inevitably caught up to me because I made no effort to change it despite multiple warnings from staff ranging from personal to professional, and continued to rail against multiple members of the staff (most notably Poojawa and Leon, who I perceived as somehow being responsible for literally everything going wrong with the server) very publicly and loudly almost every day.

I understand that all of that sounds bad, mostly because it is bad. I can't excuse it. I had, at minimum, nineteen tickets when the hammer finally dropped. Even if some of them could be discounted, that's still double digits of tickets and warnings. I then went on to manage to get permabanned from Virgo as well, repeatedly, both prior to the ban here and after it. My appeals were awful and basically amounted to "YOU CAN'T DO THIS", and got turned down time and time again. I stopped playing SS13.

About a full year later, I came back. At this point, a lot of personal things had changed for me, and I like to think it gave me a better view on things. I appealed from Virgo, having finally found my ability to sit down and talk things out instead of just pounding my keyboard, and have been playing on there since without any major incident. I've tried other servers for a "RP but also things happening" experience, but they all seem to fall flat, leading me to attempt to appeal here. As well as that, a number of players I enjoy playing the game with have also come to be here, giving me all the more reason to attempt this appeal. I understand that my ban quite literally has a "may not appeal" tag on it, but I feel this is grossly unfair. I ask that whoever looks at this please ask around about me, perhaps to Ace, the host of Virgo, who was there to see me finally kick those last two neurons into gear and realize that I was the one being a problem.

I also understand that all of this is really long and wordy, but I feel that fully explaining it is my best chance, and if nothing else will hopefully clear up some very old problems and bad blood that I caused. Thank you.

Fun fact. I was quickly permabanned before even making a post. I'm still curious as to why that happened. Fortunately, I told Citadel's admins on Host Chat who saw the ban and it was removed immediately. It is currently believed that this was just an honest mistake. Apparently impersonation in appeals has been a problem in the past, and I do not blame someone if they were just being overly cautious when they saw my username in the new users list. I'll assume it was an honest mistake for now. If it wasn't, I trust Citadel staff will deal with it in their own way, and I don't particularly care how. In the future, to whoever that was, no need to call yourself out now, but I strongly advise not doing that in the future. It gives the wrong impression, like someone is conspiring to keep somebody banned for illegitimate reasons. If you think somebody is not who they say they are, there are other ways to get in contact with them, such as through Discord. You guys can verify who my staff are by checking with your own admins, as they keep in touch with mine.

Anyway, moving on.

Yes, this is the real Aces. I am absolutely gonna vouch for Thranos. Citadel admins can contact me directly on Discord to verify it's me if you like. That is no longer necessary lol.

I'm more than familiar with him being a complete jackass in the past, but I have not had any issues with him in a great long while. We're talking a year at least, possibly longer. In fact, it's very frequently that Thranos seems to pick up now on why other people get banned for things he used to also do. I know this because people sometimes go to Thranos to vent at him about getting punished for doing something stupid. Regrettably some of Thranos's friends are still a pain in the ass, but they're getting better, and Thranos has been setting a good example that has caused notable improvement around him because he has been able to pass on his lessons to people who otherwise would never listen to me.

On the rare occasion that Thranos does get carried away with something, for instance the apparently irrevocable impasse between Thranos and Poojawa. For whatever reason, they fucking hate each other, and it doesn't take much to make them both start going at it, I'm going to be totally transparent. Poojawa said something snarky the other day on our Discord and Thranos replied basically like, "What the fuck did I do?" as the comment really did come out of nowhere. The matter was at risk of escalating rapidly.

That is, until I spoke up, and basically told them both to chill. Thranos actually listened and did so without further fuss or question. I felt he was being a little over dramatic about it. I also told off Poojawa for what was obviously meant to be an insulting comment, and that it's not nice to "joke" with people that you don't like. But, I digress. I'm not here to whine about Poojawa. For the record, that is the only incident I've had with Poojawa for that matter, so this is certainly an anomaly and not the norm, and it should not be held against them.

Back to Thranos however. His influence on Virgo has been a substantially positive one. I doubt it would be any different here. On the rare chance that you do have something happen, it should be trivially easy to tell Thranos to back out of the conflict as you would with any other player. I doubt that allowing him back on the server would cause any undue stress toward the administration here. That is, unless, the administration chooses to see Thranos as an asshole even if he is no longer being one. (That's not supposed to be snarky to the staff here. It's just a fact of life being an admin and having unpleasant biases. I've certainly done it too.)

He doesn't seem like a horrible person out of game but I haven't really seen them in game. Pretty chill individual. Should give this a try.

I dont have a way to recover the post I made originally because permanently deleting them isn't logged or if it is I cant find it. Anyway, I'm in support of Thranos being unbanned because I've seen how he acts on Virgo. He can just be a little loud with his thoughts, at times, but certainly not badly enough that he should be barred from being allowed to return.

Hi Thranos, glad to see you took the time to appeal this and sorry for the late response.

Considering Hazel and Kev gave their +1 and you managed to get a vouch, I will gladly lift this perma ban from both servers.
Leon may always veto me if they still believe you should be banned, but for my part I believe you're coming back here in good faith.
