Appeal Reason:
So, first of I'd like to say I understand why I was banned, given the information you have it looked like I was classic griefing behavior, but hopefully with the full context you'll be able to see what was actually going on and we can clear all this up.

So, grenade had absoloutely nothing harmful in it, would be the first thing to point out (Was just space drugs). My plan was to use the grenade in a much more entertaining and RP endusive manner, I never intended on simply throwing since that seemed like the least interesting and basic way of dealing with it. However, something came up irl and I had to get up and rush out the door, which left me with the dilema of what to do with this chemical grenade I'd spent all round making (I'm pretty new, so getting one that actually works is an achievment for me), so I just chucked it knowing it was harmless and hoping the people would get a kick out of the minimal RP that might induce and logged out.

I didn't even know the person I threw it at was part of sec, didn't know I got arrested for it after I logged, but I can see how it looked like I was griefing from someone coming in after that had happened and trying to figure out what in the heq was going on.

Standard practice for some one who afk's when we need to PM them is a perma ban until they appeal. the fact you made an appeal shows honest effort to rectify the situation. As such on that ground alone id be willing to reduce the length of the ban to 3 days because IIRC it was a first offense ban, but double check your Ckey nothing is comming up under the ckey IGBSteve

Why 3 days though? I feel it's pretty clear I wasn't griefing and I didn't affect anyone's round in a negative way. I'd much prefer for my record to be a clean slate as is appropriate for my actions and attitude towards the server.

I get we had a confusing situation and you had to block my account becuase of some protocol but I've explained the situation so there's no need for any type of ban.

I can offer insight into that. We do expect people to behave somewhat reasonably on main. Not to a massive extent, but throwing grenades filled with drugs, (which we do consider to be minor grief), just before you DC is very LRP and as I said minor griefing. The three days is for that.

If that's the case, can I just apologise and agree to not do it again? It's was something incredibly minor, even if it had been a deliberate act of grief, and given that it wasn't meant as that I feel a warning is much more appropriate in this situation.

Giving a punishment on something as minor as this that I can only assume will be on some kind of record seems really impersonal and draconic to me.

I'm fine with the three day ban since that's almost up by now, the sticking point here is having a ban on my record since I'm sure admins will take that into account more than the actual situation when deciding how to handle me in the future. It's a slippery slope I'd much prefer to just not step onto.
