The round before I got banned, I had died to pressure and high temperature while trapped in a firelocked area. I got salty about it in deadchat and, among other things, I said:

"They're apologizing in OOC after this round or I'm gonna learn how to dox just for this, I swear to god."

This, admittedly, was over the line, and I shouldn't have said it. Which is probably why I received an admin PM the next round:

Admin PM from-GlitchyCore: Hey really quick I just want to let you know that threatening to dox people over this game, even in jest, is not okay, alright?

To which I replied:

PM to-Admins: doxxing you for that!!!!!!!!!!!! nah jk, I understand. no more doxxing jokes.

The way I saw the exchange was this: I was politely told to stop doing something, and after making a quick joke to try and make light of the situation, I promised that I would stop, fully intending to keep that promise. My ticket was resolved afterwards, and that was that.

Or so I thought. Some minutes later, I received another admin PM:

Admin PM from-Geemiesif: Hi there , are you on our discord?

After a bit of fumbling around with Discord, the conversation was moved to DMs. And then this happened.

I understand that I'm not allowed to joke about certain things. I have no problem with that, and I was 100% intending to stop doing it. Perhaps I shouldn't have made that joke in the same reply where I said I would stop, but I meant no harm; I was only trying to make light of the situation, and I'm sure that GlitchyCore understood that. I'm sure that if they had an issue with it, they would have told me or at least banned me themselves, instead of resolving the ticket without another word. No, my problem is with the fact that Geemiesif came out of nowhere, told me to talk to him on Discord, and then permabanned me - which, by the way, is the first and only ban I have received on this server, as far as I can remember - without even trying to hear my side of things.

I believe Geemiesif was unreasonable in issuing this ban because I'd already promised to stop making jokes about doxxing people. If they and GlitchyCore spoke about this, neither of them mentioned it. For all I know, Geemiesif decided to take matters into his own hands and permanently ban me for an issue that had already been resolved. I'm not saying I'm completely in the right here - I admit that my joke in deadchat that started this whole fiasco was over the line - but to be permanently banned over it out of nowhere, when I had never received a ban beforehand, and after I had already promised to stop, is ridiculous.

In short: I believe this ban was unreasonable and mostly unwarranted, and I would like for it to be repealed or at least lessened. And of course, I won't make these kinds of jokes again. Thank you for reading.

If others want to lift it they can but I dont fuck around with that kind of stuff. I did talk about banning you in admin chat before applying it.

Ive seen a lot of salt here , you are the FIRST who I have seen even use doxing threats in deadchat.

We have a lot of people here that hide who they are for one reason or another, and seeing that kind of thing could set people off in to panic attacks or worse.

I think by now the point has been made very clear. Doxing is extremely serious and is illegal. I'll support an unban, but you, or anyone else that is seen doing this kind of thing WILL be receiving a permaban with an extremely low chance of appeal. I understand salt happens, but you're still fully responsible for what you say and will be treated as if you're serious.

Let me set something straight: I believe doxxing is a terrible thing to do and I am never, ever, ever going to do it. Sometimes my anger gets the best of me and I say some things that may be a bit hasty, but at the end of the day, I don't truly mean those things. I understand Geemiesif had no way of knowing that because they don't know me personally, and I can understand not wanting to take chances with this sort of thing; thus, I'll be sure to be more mindful of this in the future. Although, I still think Geemiesif overreacted, considering that GlitchyCore already messaged me about this and resolved the ticket when I promised I wouldn't do it again.

Which I won't, because Geemiesif admittedly just raised a good point about other people also taking it seriously. It didn't occur to me that I might be freaking people out, and I apologize for that.

Of course, now that you know how seriously we take this, if you anger gets the best of you again, I will have no pity over you getting rebanned for doing this
