Appeal Reason:
Whilst I understand what I did was inappropriate regarding SoP/Regs. What I decided to do was a purely situational decision that was made in haste due to the urgency over the communications. Yes, I should have checked in via the security comms, yes, I shouldnt have brought the shotgun out of the brig, ideally as warden I should never have to respond to security callouts. However, All I did was turn up at the call as fast as I could with purely non-lethal means to detain the target if necessary. I decided to bring the shotgun because it was loaded with stun shells and would have arguably been a safe method to subdue an attacker. I got overwhelmed, I made a decision in haste, it happened to be a poor one. There was no ill-intent or willful ignorance of the SOP/Regulations of the job.Â
This is something I have only done once, therefore it is not something I believe I should be immediately thrown under the hammer for doing given that my record for playing security is largely free from any issues. At most I believe a warning would be sufficient since ultimately my actions didnt cause harm to other players gameplay, nor did anything I do contribute to the dismay that occurred. The worst thing I did was stand still, I never drew the shotgun or threatened anyone with it. I believe that the punishment for this isolated, one off incident vastly exceeded the significance of what I actually did. Especially for someone who, when playing security, often strives to resolve issues by talking, doesnt immediately react to a situation with violence and generally tries their best to play the role effectively. I would understand this punishment if I was a repeat offender, but I am not.
As for the accusations and complaints of validhunting, I require further clarification as to what is being complained about. The only three rounds I can remember anything close to 'validhunting' was when I killed a SAR for firstly, trying to murder me with a rifle, and secondly killing the same SAR who was trying to murder someone else when I had no method to safely detain them, the third time would be the round the Director conscripted me to deal with a mutiny and I was given weapons.
