BYOND Name: Vasaduro
Reason Banned: For self-antagging and creating a dangerous virus.
Admin who banned: Unsure, I didn't catch the name or think to write it down before BYOND closed. Apologies.
Length Banned: One Week
Appeal Reason: I don't dispute this ban as wrong, not at all. I do respect that the administrator/moderator who banned me was completely right. Before I start this, let me explain the entire situation. I had pulled the YogStation wiki up because I wanted to create a memey virus in virology. I thought it would be funny because I had just gotten done watching some SS13 virology related videos on YouTube the day prior. I opened up by gathering all the necessary chemicals and mixing my virus making stuff, it wasn't exactly difficult or anything. Eventually I came up with a virus which I believed was relatively harmless, just really infectious and hard to cure. So, I sprayed people with it with a spray bottle.
I died in an accident, and a few minutes later I was contacted by an admin. After discussing the matter, they told me I would be banned for one week and another offense would be permanent. I agree that this is a just punishment.
However, I am asking for a shortened ban period. I haven't played SS in over a year, and I am relatively inexperienced with this game, and I never played virology except for one time two years ago when some random person I barely knew told me to download the game and brought me to viro to mix chemicals in beakers. I didn't play the game for another year, and then by the time that I did it was only for about a month or two on ChompStation and YogStation. I played mostly service jobs and paramedic because I didn't know how to do anything else. I stopped playing because Chompstation was, well, to put it in simple terms: very traumatic due to some incidents with the community. I haven't played since, only coming back yesterday (6/1/19) because of the high praise I've heard for Citadel. This doesn't excuse my action, I know that, but I feel like it should grant some sort of lee-way, shouldn't it? I was told by people I'd asked about the server that it was chaotic, and I figured that mean that people doing some memey stuff wasn't exactly taboo. I was under the impression my virus wasn't that dangerous (I was later informed that it actually was, a really dangerous virus.)
I came to CitadelStation because I wanted to be part of a good community after my year hiatus from the game. I don't want to mess up my chances by doing something stupid and getting banned, and I wanted to keep playing. I'm very sorry for my act and I hope that the staff which review this appeal may find it to give me some kind of forgiveness and perhaps shorten my ban time. I know a week isn't exactly the longest time period, but I was extremely excited to play on this server and I'm very sorry for causing trouble.
Thank you for reading my appeal, I know that staffing is difficult and you don't need idiots like me making it harder for all of you. You have my full assurance that I won't do anything like this again on Citadel, regardless of the ban being shortened or not.

Re: [MAIN] Kara's Temp Ban Appeal For Self-Antag
All right, I am the banning admin. You've been banned already for around three days, and it sounds like you are genuinely sorry for what you have done.
Just to be clear, your virus had the following symptoms:
Vomiting
Fever
Sneezing
Inorganic Bio
Revitiligo
None of these were neutered, and one of them actively screwed with peoples characters. Not only that, but you had broken into viro specifically to make a virus.
But, as you said, you were relatively new, so just be remember to be more careful.
