BYOND Name of complaint against: Ariever
Your BYOND name: GhostEchoe
Date of issue and round ID: 10/9/2017 Will be edited in when I can find the round ID
Reason for complaint: I'll start with what I actually have an issue with to a degree. On a secret round last night (as of posting), teleported an ash drake to me on station due to a series of admin/mod cancelled shuttle calls when just about half the station wanted to leave on a wizard round. While it spawned right on top of me in the bridge, they let it run loose after it didn't kill me (having been saved by a nearby borer in crit), and ended up killing at least ten other people.
Note that earlier in the day, a wizard round went on for forty minutes and was cancelled suddenly, and then this round the escape shuttle kept being forcibly recalled by admins/mods (I can't name which one kept recalling, but it felt like a shitty hypocrisy with the earlier.
As well as this, and more of a minor point. Accused me of wasting security's time by not wanting to turn in null crate equipment as a non antag, and resisting arrest (For the most part non lethally, I used a few ebow shots out of being stressed, but did not kill or crit anyone, and this was a more last resort option) when the confirmed threat (at the time asher) was dead. To explain more, there were three other people who all had null sec crate stuff, and security were purely only going after me. While perhaps it may be powergamey to have null crate stuff as a nonantag/nonsec, I feel obligated to state that at no point until the very end when I used an ebow to stun the detective did I present myself as a threat. I did emag my way into sec to steal my stuff back, and made it clear that's why I did it. So I would like to say that it's a false accusation to accuse me of wasting sec's time, when they are controlled by players, and have all the mental capacity to decide who to focus their time on.

I do agree that my behavior with what happened during the wizard round was selfish, immature, and unbecoming of a staff member on the Citadel server. I'm not just saying this to make it seem like I'm sorry when I'm not, but I really am. It was completely unfair what I did with the ash drake, however you were sending messages berating Central after I recalled the shuttle and told you to start the DNA vault, then when I threatened to port up the ash drake you sent another message. Then it happened, and I went back into my body. It was mostly because you had gotten on my nerves earlier about saying that self-antagging and emagging your way into things was not wasting securities time, when you were obviously posing a threat on a traitor round as a non-traitor. You continuously attacked me for answering an earlier ahelp where someone said that you were self-antagging. This is my job, as a moderator, to answer ahelps and investigate problems. I don't feel like I should be berated for that, and then trying to get people re-invested into a round where the antag was killed twenty minutes in. I know how it escalated was completely unnessesary, and I was talked to about it. I'll try to come at things with a more level head, and I suggest you do the same.

people berated the shuttle call because all the miners were dead, science couldnt do their jobs cause there were no mats being brought in, a shuttle call was completely in order. as far as i know trash talking centcomm isnt exactly a punish worthy thing at all on secret if theyre unreasonable.

I was under the impression that when the Ash Drake gave 'devour' logs, that those were who it killed, and since I only got that it killed a monkey and runtime twice, I didn't know it killed anyone. Especially since I went back into my body after I ported the drake over.
Again, it was a real shitty thing to do.

Devour checks for devour being on in the vorepanel. Ash drake gibs those who have it off. You won't receive devour logs for people who do not permit vore. You will receive another type of log.
I will also note that during that round, science was unable to build the DNA Vault. Miners were all dead, no materials were brought in. DNA vault requires T4 parts. Without mats we can get two T3's and all T2's. On top of that. It was on Secret, your actions affected the round and not only killed people, but made it drag on longer than it should have, leaving multiple dead players unable to do anything. Dead players that you killed indirectly. You recalled the shuttle repeatedly when half the station could not do its job and then told them to do something they literally could not do. Followed by killing a notable portion of the crew.
That is not behavior befitting of a staff member. Yes everybody fucks up but reign that temper in. If this is what you do as a mod when you get worked up and have limited tools, I don't want to see what you do as an admin.

I was told that, I know. I'll have a more level head when taking care of things, and have been taking care of problems like that easier.
And if you don't think I should be an admin, then so be it.

"Admins and moderators should keep each other accountable"
Why should this behavior NOT result in a strike? How is it okay? Is this just allowed? Why do you personally attack me when I've only discussed the decisions of the staff member in question?

Ruby. That isn't a valid counter to their point. Approach them in a respectful and polite manner, as would befit being a member of server staff. If you are incapable of doing that then you probably should step down. Being in authority means you need to hold yourself to the Absolute Highest of standards.Â
Power does not give you the excuse to be abrasive, rude, and deflective to somebody who has brought up a legitimate point. Now address their concern in a manner befitting of a staff member. If you cannot do that then you probably should step down.
