Admin Complaint: Unknown. + Discord (Contains: Shadekin)

All i can really say is:

-Shadekin really shouldn't become a player race, for this exact reason, since coders (!!!adding here, that there is no guarantee that kfive's code will even get merged!!!) aren't admins. They don't influence lore, and they certainly shouldn't make decisions like this.

-Ray's behavior has been pretty awful even for the already low expectations of Cit-RP. The whole 'forced emotions' thing? Yeah. That's godmodding. Do you need me to include a definition? Godmodding is generally considered pretty shit and basically says 'i don't care about your character or you as a player.'

-The whole mental illness thing isn't an excuse for shitty behavior. Congratulations. Welcome to the club. Most people have some form of mental illness, myself included. It's not an excuse. None of it is. More over, Ray shouldn't be picked for something that may involve the future of a player race if he's mentally unstable in character.

-Barely anything is known about how shadekin act already. There's no possible way someone got a DNA sample that was pure enough to preform any sort of genetic modification with it. And really, shadekin are mostly seen as a pest, because on Cit-RP, aside from a select few people - THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE. They do nothing but cause trouble and generally make a nuisance of themselves. Let's not forget: they're a snowflake admin species from VORE.

Going to put this out there: The only people, who, obviously, have whitelist control and stuff, are headmins, and by extension, staff.
Coders do not decide who plays the races they code, unless the yhappen to be staff in which case they have a say according to their rank just like the rest of us.
As for shadekin, try not to treat everything you believe as too final, as things are, always, subject to change.
That said frankly if someone walked up to me and said they were turning into a shadekin, which is basically saying you're turning into what appears to be a fucking magical creature, you'd seem pretty insane.

Shadekin are adminspawn-only for good reason, and as a maintainer, I can safely say for sure that they're gonna stay that way. Making a gigantic scene out of something that someone who isn't even a staff member told you about is just cringy at best.

Currently the kinks and testing bits that k5 would code need to be worked out on the player race before anything.

Once that's done we'll look back onto this app WITHOUT the autistic screeching from the usual "REEEEEE SHADEKIN REEE" vocal minorities as we don't even know what the fuck the player race would even have or if it'd just be a reskined humanoid with a shadememe's head anthropomorphized.

To be honest, I thought he was ALSO going to make a custom race until K5 was brought into the mix suddenly. He can seriously do just that without anyone having a reason to blow a gasket over the whole ordeal, because lets face it...if he were to get a shadekin race randomly all to himself approved, the entirety of the RP channel would implode upon itself while the round is going on.

The basic rundown is that someone with zero authority to influence code or lore said that your character had gained powers that are impossible, and people sensibly didn't appreciate being told that they were being force-fed emotions because literally "some guy" told you that you could.

This reaction isn't unwarranted, but I do feel that admins shouldn't be talking shit in subtle. Man up and say it with your name attached.

Okay, Lets get some facts straight.

• As far as I and KFive could tell, I have interacted with almost every shadekin that has been spawned. Which is why he decided to throw me into the mix.
• I do not intend to be able to MANIPULATE others emotions and feelings. I indended for others to FEEL what Greyson is feeling in an ambient manner.
• Ray is not suicidal or depressed. End of. He hasnt killed himself intentionally in 2 years ICly.
• PermaKilling is OPTIONAL as far as I know, So I check out on that front.
• I understand that my RP is less-than-good, My overuse of ellipses and broken sentences are wack of course and if you point it out I will fix it.
• Once again, I do not have the ability to MAKE others FEEL whatever I want because I am not god.
• KFive told me they were going to talk to an admin while working on the files about getting me whitelisted.
• I highly doubt that the race was made only for me.
• I did put faith in KFive because they were my friend and I trust them.
• I do this RP as a TRANSITION to doing the TESTING and making it believable instead of Ray just showing up to work one day as a Shadekin all of a fuckin sudden.
• Again. No Feeling/Emotion manipulation. Only the Feelings/Emotions Ray feels because of empathy creating an aura in situations where people get an idea of his emotions bluntly.
• I can see how Ray would be seen as insane when he tells people he is a shadekin, But I told only my CLOSE friends this and it got out of hand when I spreaded it to less-close friends.
• I know, Im cringey; Im working on it, Just let me know what I am doing wrong and I will stop.
• I kept names out of this to avoid backlash and hate being thrown at other people, But KFive is coding a new race.

This is my only complaint. He has no authority to decide this. He's not in charge of server lore, did not run this by the lore team, and is acting on his own to "decide" what shadekin are capable of doing. This isn't allowable any more than it would be for me to tell you that feral oties are capable of speaking Galactic Common and doing long division just because an admin spawned me as one.

One. Kfive cannot manipulate the lore like that, and I doubt they ICly came to you as a shadekin and praised you for all of that bogus bullshit about your empathy attracting shadekin, because frankly, your sheer infatuation with shadekin repulses most everyone who actually played one.

I can guarantee you that you, absolutely, have no interacted with every shadekin. Two to four at best. Zelda's, Stellar's, and potentially one played by Vixen, and maybe Blackmajor, back when he actually played them sparsely before the hate blew up in flames.

Lets go over the whole 'Im turning into a shadekin' bit of bullshit here.
No. Absolutely not. Realistically, scientifically, even with the existence of gene mods, you dont just over time change into a different species.

Lets take into account sleeves. Theres a sergal, tesh, human, fucking everything brand of Ray. This is possible by the mechanics, because those species can be printed by a resleever. Noone, absolutely noone, can be put into a vox, xenochimera, etc sort of biological species due to the advanced genetics behind the species. They cannot be grown, and shadekin, too, cannot be grown.

This game mechanic leaves us with an undeniable posibility that shadekin genetics are so advanced that said genetics cannot be artificially produced at this time. The fact that they can literally phase into a different dimension, no godamn joke, called the Dark, also backs this up.

I would be willing to accept bootleg shadekin being a thing, ie a bunch of gene mods piled together to make someone LOOK like a shadekin.
And in the event that a shadekin player race is produce, they absolutely will not be able to perform the paranatural abilities a shadekin can produce, due to the lore even making mention that these abilities are severely taxing as is, and taking a lifetime of practice to master. Unless you were born and grew up as a shadekin, you will never perform these abilities.

In response to stellar's mention of fallen angels and genemods, before.
Fallen angels are a concept. Angels are a hollow oned humanoid species with wings. Demons are angels who denounced their status as an angel to persue a different lifestyle that is either taboo or illegal in angel society. Usually ending up severely gene modding themselves to produce their own vision of beauty.

A fallen angel is just an angel who was banished from Sanctum, the angel home world.
