Character name: Flynn Foxish
Discord username (+user id): ThatGuyFromThatPlace
How long have you played on Citadel?: 4-5 months
How long have you played SS13?: 5 months
What is your timezone/general hours of activity?: GMT-7. Basically, 90% of the time I'm not working, work around 9AM-6PM, work schedule is inconsistent
Previous SS13 related admin experience: None
Previous non-SS13 related admin experience: Various different Discord servers. A Gmod semi-serious RP server
Current administrators who have agreed to support your application: Nylon_Blitz, ImprovedName/Hyena
Reason for application: The server is in need of more admins, and, good ones at that. I've been seeing issues with players complaining about lack of admin response to ahelps, and other various things.
I have basically been playing nothing but SS13 and only on Citadel for the past few months of my life, and, as such, Citadel and many of its players have become important to me.
Please answer the following questions to the best of your abilities:
1. How would you engage with two players having an out of character altercation?
Well, attempt a bit of mediation, but, most importantly, make sure it isn't interfering with other players. Get it out of the game, and into DMs.
Aid in resolving the issue if possible, because, I prefer people not start making enemies, as that starts creating a hostile environment in Citadel
2. What should an admin do if they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention?
An admin is not allowed to deal with a situation involving themselves. They act as a normal player in the situation, and rely on another admin to deal with it
3. How should an admin determine in what way to punish someone who breaks the rules?
Generally, at least, as far as I'm concerned, punishments should be lenient, and be based on how much of an issue a player is.
Repeatedly breaking rules
Severity of rule broken
And personal judgement
4. Under what conditions should an admin de-admin themselves while playing?
If they're not needed, and, they are in a situation where they need to avoid admin knowledge interfering with the game.
5. What is expected of an admin on Citadel?
Enforcing the rules, and being fair about it, dealing with unruly players, and stopping them from ruining the experience for others, with the goal of keeping the server a fun and enjoyable for those who wish to play on it.
(I was told it was okay to use the admin application template for a moderator application. I wanted to because, the admin template allows more detailed)
