Reason for application: I'd like to assist in moderating, primarily on the RP server. I am available for main aswell, but RP is usually few of staff. Additionally, given my spotty history with the server (despite not having any bans in over a year) I frankly doubt anyone (myself included) would trust me with full Game Admin powers.
Please answer the following questions to the best of your abilities:
1. How would you engage with two players having an out of character altercation?
Step 1: Mute OOC.
Step 2:Â Politely direct them to our discord server in OOC as a moderator.
Step 3: Unmute OOC.
Step 4: If it continues, re-mute OOC and directly message both participants as a moderator telling them to take it to discord or drop it. Leave OOC muted for a minute or two, then unmute.
2. What should an admin/moderator do if they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention?
Contact another staff member. If one is not online, a message in achat suffices.
3. How should an admin/moderator determine in what way to punish someone who breaks the rules?
Give people the benefit of the doubt, depending on intent, and consult the Punishment Policy accordingly.
4. Under what conditions should an admin/moderator de-admin/de-mod themselves while playing?
De-Admin or stealthmin liberally (always when Head of staff, security or antagonist role prefs are on, less so as a non-tag or non-head).
5. What is expected of an admin/moderator on Citadel?
-Act professionally and courteously at all times, even when players are not
-Respond to adminhelps not involving themselves when available, and be available for contact on discord
-Keep other admins accountable for their actions
-Ensure the players are enjoying themselves (although this one is just being a good person)
