Reason for application: lack of mentor rank on the Rp serb and me wanting to answer questions that people have about game mechanics there.Â
Please answer the following questions to the best of your abilities:
1. How would you engage with two players having an out of character altercation?
I wouldn't do anything unless they start breaking some rules or taking too far or doing it for too long or just spamming the chat with it. Conflict is inevitable and it's better if people resolve it among themself as long as it doesn't break the rules. I can't be there to stop each and every OOC altercation, especially if it happens somewhere I have no control over so I'd rather just let it happen unless it starts crossing lines.Â
2. What should an admin do if they're involved in a situation that needs admin intervention?
Do nothing and call for another admin.Â
3. How should an admin determine in what way to punish someone who breaks the rules?
Context and the rules. If the player is someone who is lawyering the rules I'd apply the spirit of that rule instead of the wording.Â
4. Under what conditions should an admin de-admin themselves while playing?
I personally believe in deadminning every round I play in but I can see an issue with that if I'm the only one on so I'd say I'd Deadmin as either an antag, sec, or an important job like command/ai. As a moderator I probably would not Deadmin at all.Â
5. What is expected of an admin on Citadel?
I think this question is better worded as what should be expected of an admin in general. I believe that admins should never be partial to one side and should always approach cases with a calm and out of the box investigation. I also believe that admins should always give reply to an ahelp no matter what. Doesn't have to be a long one, but a reply is needed.Â
I'm mainly applying for moderator just to help out and answer questions on the rp serb but I don't think id have trouble holding myself up on main.Â
