Fair is fair, assistant validhunting is a stigma and apart from few game modes it's generally frowned upon. But here's the thing. I didn't validhunt as assistant.
Backstory: Roundstart, blue mood, but decide to do something absolutely crazy and greytide when I see two officers bullying Trace Gant (ForrestWick). Essentially I pushed them, stole Trace, gave him a swirlie as payment for release and set him free. I was then hunted by the officers who were bullying Trace but it was all some minor tiding, that was seen in a wholesome way by parties involved. Later I smashed beepsky (somebody didn't take me off arrest) and got a baton which I used to tide on CE (IC friend) who was getting space drugs at the medbay and stole their drugs to help them fight addiction. I did time for this excess in the brig. So as established greytider, I continued to move around the station, helped Trace kidnap Tea (one of officers) by cuffing her with zipties. At that point he wasn't established as bad guy still and it was all seemingly green shift shenanigans.
So, it turns out the person I was PDAing with got murdered, also my IC friend. With this I took character act that I must become vigilante but it was more of a meme, since no greytider would wear red. So I went to HoP and said that I must become vigilante, for my family and friends are dead and he can help me with this, but I won't wear red. The mad man did it, he promoted me to sec named BLUE sec officer. I wasn't expecting this. So instead of caring for valids I went to get my blue uniform and matching get up along with my trusty stun baton claimed from beepsky to pose as the real vigilante hero of the station. Meanwhile, as I was chilling in the sec office matching clothes Trace Gant comes up and slices into armory - so I called it out on sec comms. Kelly (officer) came over, we broke into armory via windoor and she was trying to incapacitate him, while I focused on recovering guns that were going to space. So as I managed to recover huge chunk of guns he opened lethal laser fire on me and nearly got me killed but Selkie (CMO) saved me in time. We moved the guns from armory, I took taser and a blaster, regrouped with new arrival Sec off and we proceeded to arrest and heal Nameko. She was generally found under charge of grand trespass no other evidence, so shuttle brig time. As Shuttle docks, miner gave us sweet inquisition hardsuits, two, and I decided to find Trace for his attempted murder on me and murder of now missing Kelly. I rushed to arrivals with jetpack in tow and BoH in hand that I nabbed off Nameko and just saw Trace dashing away from arrivals, running from ERT. I chased him, caught him, cuffed and pulled into space, grabbed his BoH and said "Prepare for ultimate dab" and did what any vigilante would. BoH bombed myself and him.

That's rather entertaining story so I hope you had a laugh while reading this and came to the question: "how the hell can you validhunt as security officer if that's your job description?"

I don't know, but even though I was promoted sec officer by a based HoP, I only took to validhunt (as a sec off) after an attempt on my life was made. This whole conundrum makes me scratch my head, but also entertains me that it was seen that way.

As for Forrest, I do get he was angry that I dabbed on him so hard, but sorry. If anything it was justified. What can you do, you dab on others and get dabbed on yourself, too.

yes because all of command were welding into my escape pod and you welded in from the other side with one minute till the shuttle supposed to leave. You were only sec because you asked for it from.the HOP, which in itself can fall under the rules as being pretty bad on both parties. Outside of fighting people that attacked me first, I wasnt doing any other lethal action. There was no reason for an assistant to pull a stunt like that. I left you alone after the armory shootout because I only fired at you because you shot first. You basically pulled a Gladwyn that round. Play sec if you wanna do that kinda shit.

OK? I did it for valid IC reason and OOC and did it for a meme captivated by my story.

Be glad logs aren't public, because boy, I never shot in armory before being shot at, especially since I had no gun on myself until after the armory was raided.

Rest of your fluff is just salt. Everything I did was valid, rule wise, IC wise, robusting antag wise - too.

Only part that wasn't valid was me not giving two shits about how sec handles antags. Thus you could experience prime dab by BoH.

Sorry for not replying to this appeal before the six-day temporary note expired! According to Discord I didn't get any @mentions from NotSuchai, so post links on the #player-bulletin-board and ping staff.

Reason there was a weeklong temporary note was because of uncertainty. If I remember correctly, somebody had ahelped and said that NotSuchai Bag-of-Holding bombed an antagonist while assistant, of course killing them both, which isn't okay. Although, they were promoted to security, which does make it sort-of okay. So to be fair, I settled on a temporary note and gave NotSuchai a warning not to hunt antagonists.
