Your side of the story: I was showing off a spell I got from lavaland, the self immolation one outside cargo, I was harming no one with it, I was just standing around being on fire, and apparently that was menacing enough for security to arrest me beat me to stam crit, strip me, and steal my drake armor that allowed me fire immunity, then refuse to give it back after being released.

So I was mugged, then stripped, then robbed, I reacted accordingly, demanding they give my property back lest they suffer consequences for their criminal acts. They basically laughed me off and told me to fuck off. I tried several more times, and when they kept rebuffing me, I broke into security by force, to get my property back, and when they attacked me I killed 2 sec officers in self defense, the ones who robbed me only. As I was taking their bodies to cloning to get cloned, the HOS showed up, who then asked what happened, I explained that they robbed and attacked me, and thus I killed them to get my property back, and was taking them to cloning, and he then unloaded on me with shot gun shells despite me making no offensive action against him. After being healed and imprisoned the captain then sentenced me to death for killing robbing unrepetent criminals and then trying to clone them anyways despite their crimes. I used my spell to die on my own terms then, setting myself on fire to death, I was then cloned at cloning because I always clone scan as a miner, and they then ejected my body early and killed me there too and escaped all punishment. I then spoke with the admin for 30 minutes, whereupon he banned me.

Why you think you should be unbanned: Because I didn't self antag. I did what any sane person does when robbed. I got my property back using the means I had at the time. The fact that the people who robbed me were security is irrelevant. They robbed me. They refused multiple attempts to give my property back peacefully. I only resorted to force when I ran out of all further non admin options. And upon neutralizing them, I took them to cloning til the HOS shot me for trying to clone his sec officers. A self antag wouldn't clone the people he killed, nor would he peacefully talk with the hos arresting him instead of trying to kill him.

Long story short, shitsec was being shitsec and I got banned for it. I harmed no one with my self immolation spell other than stand their . . . meaningcly I guess, and apparently that was enough to rob and beat me, despite me as a miner, having a weapons permit . They did the equivalanet of arresting the chaplain for having a null rod. Yes the spell is a weapon, and yes the armor is a weapon too in this instance as it allows me to use the spell safely. If a person isnt' actively hurting anyone they have no right to rob them, and me getting banned for forceably taking my property back when I ran out of options at the time is nonsense.

The only point of wrong doing I will admit to after giving the situation some thought? I should have talked to the HOS BEFORE resorting to force only if he too rebuffed me. But other than that, I did nothing wrong and wasn't self antagging in the least.

Alright let's just... first it does matter that they were security, immolating yourself and running around on fire is enough of a hazard to have security take that away if you don't stop using it. Afterwards being so annoyed that they aren't returning your firesuit that you go, break in and literally murder them to get it back is not sane at all. You literally fireballed two officers to death because they took away a dangerous item you were told to stop showing off for the sake of your co-workers. I'm in favor of letting the two day ban stick so you learn that overescalating like this without a good reason is not okay.

I wasn't runnign around on fire, I was standing in a single spot not harmming or messing with anyone. I was literally standing perfectly still. I was then beaten to stam crit, and robbed. as for my use of force, I used the force I had available. if I would have had non lethals I would have used non lethals. I'm a miner, I don't have access to non lethals, so I used what I had, which was a ka and a fire ball wand. And after I killed them, I started taking them to cloning to heal them.

I was banned for self antagging, HOW killing someone for stealing your property and then healing the person who stole from you self antagging. It isn't. At a minimum, can we at least get the reason I'm banned changed to something else that is more accurate?

No it's definitely self antagging to murder security for taking away a dangerous item. As far as the people on the round said you were asked to stop setting yourself on fire for safety and you answered by setting yourself on fire again. Security does this kind of stuff with things they consider a threat to the station or the crew, and really all you had to do was ask the HoS. If they said no then ahelp it, breaking in yourself and killing the sec members who took it away is really bad

the chaplain null rod is a dangerous item. They dont' take it away because the chapain has a weapons permit, so do miners. Sot hat doesn't fly. And again, I was standing in asingle spot not moving around. I was just showing off the spell while harming NO ONE at all and committing no crime, several people were entertained by it including the CE who also set herself on fire with her hardsuit, and who ALSO harmed no one. People were having a fun time in other words and they arrested someone with a weapon who had a weapons permit, ie miner, for no good reason and stripped them of their possessions, again for no good reason. So yeah, that was nonsense.

As for the rest I will concede as I already did in my first post I should have talked to the HOS first, I admitted my error there. As for the ahelp, I didn't think to use it as I followed proper escalation rules, I didn't immediately attack them after all, I gave them several chances to peacefully return my property. If I was self antagging I just would have broke in immediately or killed them as soon as they arrested me which I COULD have done, I chose not to, because I wasn't self antagging, I also didn't attack the HOS even after he started shotgunning me, I kept continuing to try to talk to him til he put me into crit while I was trying to clone the people I just killed, which is again, things a self antag wouldn't do.

So agree to disagree on calling it self antagging when it's clearly not.

if the chaplain is going around killing people with his Base Nullrod, security are DEFINITELY allowed to take it away.
from what i've read this looks like trying to reword a scenario of taking an item used with illegal intent to randomly taking items from people 4nraisin
also it's only a 2 day ban. maybe if it was something like a perma or multiple weeks it would be normal to appeal to have the duration reduced, but 2 days? that's maybe 2-4 rounds of gameplay for people that have activities in real life, be it a 9-5 job or college classes

Blue, I wasn't going around hurting anyone with my spell. I was standing in a single spot minding my own business entertaining a grouop of crew members when I was harrassed, then accosted, then arrested, then robbed by sec.
