[RP] - (PermCharBan) Appeal For Self-Antagging

Reason Banned: Now there were a multitude of reasons as to why Jasper was charbanned and I happen to agree with them all now as I look back on it. As per usual with all things in life. You can really see how much you fucked up when going back through hindsight. The majority of the reasons why were of course Self-Antagging a lot and so on. The tickets should help provide some light to this since I can't from memory. I know there were many for Self-Antagging as stated before. Perhaps General Dumbassery, maybe a few issues with Chat Spam and so on. (Like before, I feel like an ass wording it like that but it really is all I can remember.)

Admin who banned: Crashinator But I believe there were more involved. Crash was just the Admin with me going through the AHelp Convo. (I think.)

Length Banned: Fuuuuuck man, late 2018 from the top of my head? Don't mean to sound blasé but truthfully I have a horrible perception of time. Maybe... October-Ish 2018?

Appeal Reason: I believe since this whole situation happened much has happened. A second character made post-major ban to help myself get more acquainted with the more calmer side of playing on station as well as how to be less of a dick. I have actually learned how to play for the most part. Instead of only being trained in being an ass and basic Chem and Med I have worked kinda hard to learn a lot more in terms of departments and such. There is the whole 'Oh it was a long time ago' sort of argument but that is kinda weak if anything. My main idea was just this. I don't plan to reinstate this char the same way as he came in. All hot-headed and dickhead-y.

Of course in terms of IC a lot of shit would've gone down since being escorted off-station by staff. Some of these things could include the scrapping of an MMI to instead be replaced with a pre-programmed Positronic to perform a complete change in personality. A new chassis to make him less like a basic motherfucker and so on. Now I know, if I planned to do so much with this char when/ if the ban is appealed then why not make a new char completely?

To be honest, it was mostly due to the title and name of Jasper. A bot with a reputation that was around for a while before. I'd like to take it again and change it completely, y'know? Play him again but better and less like the person I once was when I first made him. A more experienced and smarter (Debatable) player. If this appeal is denied then I will obviously see why. And maybe in time I'll make a new char with the ideas I had in my head ICly but recently it's just been bugging me that his story had such a drab end due to the player's simple incompetence. I'd like to reprise that, if I could.

If you remember, I considered an outright perma-ban since you'd already had one perma-ban, and then this happened. However, you behave on your other characters. In fact, since Jasper was banned, you've picked up a single note for a VERY minor issue, when before, you had enough notes to compete for most notes on the RP server.

With all this in mind, I'm afraid I cant support Jasper being un-banned. I'll ping staff to give them a chance to give their thoughts, but I think it's best that you don't take a risk with getting re-banned.

You know, shit. Yeah. I remember when I first made this fucker. One of the first characters I ever actually full-on tried to put some effort into RP-wise. I'd say playing him laid a basis for how I'd write shit and play in the future. I actually still remember meeting Hazel for the first time on him. Fuck I was a dickhead back then. Playing Cit was possibly one of the best decisions I could've made whilst playing BYOND (A statement I'm sure some have never heard, yes). While playing I've met some of my closest friends and bonded with many. RP was one of the first servers I ever actually stuck to when I found BYOND, I found it fun but at the same time I had trouble learning a lot of things and never did bother to ask for help. Bad events tended to be fun as they were a means to add flavour to a game that I enjoyed but couldn't do much in due to my lack of knowledge. With some of the later issues, say after I learned some stuff and I continued to cause issues. I hate to say it but I guess I might chalk it up to peer pressure? (Fuck, sounds like some high-school drama shit now). Jasper kinda formed a sorta meta-group surrounding him (I mean as in Discord and other dumb shit too). A lot of us kinda found it fun to hang out but when it came to Cit one of the say most fun things to do was to do dumb shit together. Now the mantle of the biggest dumbshitter was left to me. I'd usually go on and cause chaos for a few laughs and some compliments from the people in the group like a fucktard. Safe to say this group kinda disbanded once Jasper's PermaBan. And in no way am I trying to blame others for actions that I myself did. I guess I'm just giving reason to it. I can say for certain (Because I am no longer half-asleep when typing this) that he had many many issues fundamentally as a character that I feel could never be fixed. Once again, I truly do thank you for helping me y'know. Not get perma-banned completely for the last events on him. Playing a new char has helped me y'know. Properly now finish setting out what I was meaning to do before. Which is of course learn how to play with proper intentions and actually be productive to some degree. I have no intention of playing him as I used to if the ban was to be lifted but even then as stated before. There were some things with him that couldn't be fixed up with some changes.
