As one of the lead instigators of the protests, I'd just like to clarify that almost all of the outrage happened after the MMI cremation, a few people were vocal purely about the detonation but it was the usual stuff that happens anytime you explode a borg really. The main strikes and picketing happened well after the cremation, when it was obvious no attempts were even being made to fix them.
