RE: Alleged metagrudging
Earlier in this round, you were forcefully borged. Last person that touched you before your body was spaced (which is a shitty thing to do by the way, a morgue tray is always better IC) was the then warden. After becoming a borg and constantly wishing for death, you became a posibrain and had to be reset for someone that actually wanted to play the role. I got a ahelp specifically for this. If you don't want to play a role, why jump to become a posibrain for the roboticist that just borged you? Afterwards, when trying to help another player, I set down a drone shell. You snatched it up, and I considered deleting it because it wasn't for you, but hey, another ghost player gets into the round as a drone, I honestly thought nothing would be wrong with it. Immediately afterwards, you head straight to the armory, where most of Security was and was intending on, if I remember right, spacing or locking up all of the guns in accordance with your 'drone laws'. While all humans appear filtered, there is an easy way to tell who someone is by mousing over them. I'd think after shooting the then Warden with a full hybrid's taser worth of electrodes, or even before that, by going straight into the armory and shooting at someone that is duty bound to defend it, you'd have a real good assumption of who they are. This is what made me think you were metagruding two people that you had reason to be upset with.

RE: Alleged metagrudging
You give me way too much credit. I had spaced myself because was bored and I figured I could mess around in ghost roles. Absent-mindedly clicking on the on the first one that came up I was a borg realising that borg sucked I begged for death. After that the option to become a borg again popped up, but I restrained myself from just clicking on the first thing that popped up again. Then the drone came up and I was like ok something new, granted I was thinking all robots followed the same laws, so I thought he best way to prevent human harm was to go to the source of human harm and space it. So I went to the armory grabbed up some guns, realising I had storage and I could get some more I went, grabbed some more when someone locked the door. I dont know jack about sec if you look back at my previous encounters it proves I don't really know squat about sec. Whoever it was and started shooting at me actually hitting me so I tased them, seeing two other people rushing over trying to break down the door I figured I would stun him till they do so so I can book it. then I got shot when I wasn't paying attention. (as a side note I had my view on static so I had a out line but I didn't know who they were and I was more focused on getting out then caring who they were)ÂA.Echard wrote: Earlier in this round, you were forcefully borged. -I would also like to note that I did not realise the rules for what I was supposed to do with drone I take full responsibility for my Ignorance it's the metagrudging is where I feel isn't true I didn't even know or care who the Warden was.

Honestly, given all of this, you're lucky you weren't banned for longer

I know this and I very much appreciate it, honestly I really do. I am just trying to explain that I did not metagrudge. I feel that the whole metagrudge part was put in just on assumption.cebutris wrote: Honestly, given all of this, you're lucky you weren't banned for longer

Shoot, looking at your notes, I can actually second Cebutris' statement. Before this drone issue, you were banned from head roles for brigging folks for little reasoning and permabrigging anyone trying to stop you, accidentally barging in on an ERP group trying to explore while the dorms were suffering from a lack of pressure (this is what got me looking into your notes, because I swore you had an appeal up before here on the forums about it), powergaming (though I'm sure that's not an issues anymore?), more or less multiple cases of blowing up things out of ignorance or just lack of understanding...
I mean, learning's all fine and dandy, but there's also a thing called ASKING PEOPLE. Just your notes alone, half could've been prevented upon just asking folks questions rather than just blowing something up because you don't understand and risk a permaban for simply not knowing any better.
Also, drones get text that pops up in the chat box that states their laws and stuff. Also, even Asimov/Crewsimov borgs aren't allowed to zip off to the armory and space all of its contents - that's how they get blown up by the crew and silicon banned by admins.
tl;dr version is this: when in doubt, ASK SOMEONE, ANYONE, and if you ever have a doubt in your mind about the legitimacy of doing something? Don't do it.
Also, read the /TG/ wiki, since a lot of questions can be answered with that. Also common sense, but that's just something you either have or everyone who has it hopes you get eventually. /shrug
